And so the tables turn…

Thea brother has a plan to kidnap an important man so they can hold him for ransom with the hopes of leaving the city and living a better life. She’s a bit reluctant but goes along with it anyways. When she realizes that man is none other than a mafia boss that controls half the city she definitely has second thoughts. But since that man is currently tied up in their living room, there’s no going back. The clock is ticking.

From the moment Silus gets asked for help by a girl at the bar who appears to have no clue who he is, he’s immediately intrigued. And when he wakes up tied to a chair in her home that same night, that interest only grows… along with his amusement. He knows it’s only a matter of time before his brother and their men come crashing through the door to find him. He also knows that when they do, he’s taking Thea back with him.

This was actually a fun twist on a kidnapping trope. And these two were clearly meant to be. It was just an unexpected route to figure that out for themselves. I love this book and I would love to see more from the other side characters too.
