Great start to a new series…
This was a great start to a new series. Loved the characters. The story was intense in the best way. I can’t wait for the next installment to come out. Fingers crossed for sooner rather than later because it leaves with quite the cliffhanger and makes you want more.

And so the plot thickens…
This not-your-typical love triangle continues in this second book of the series with some very intense moments. Thoughts and feelings between the characters are growing and shifting right alongside their overall dynamic. Throw in some twists and turns that I didn’t see coming with a massive cliffhanger and now I’m ready to read the next one to see where everything goes. It will be interesting to see just how much the relationships between these three characters will evolve.

Romantic Conclusion…
It was great to see how these characters grew and evolved in their interesting dynamic. There were some twists and turns that I wasn’t expecting. I honestly wasn’t sure how things were going to go there at a few points but I’m glad they got their happy ending.

Her hero and her keeper…
Evelyn finds herself kidnapped and held as bait to draw in her fiancé. When Massimo walks in to find her being abused, he doesn’t care that she belongs to his enemy. He just see’s an innocent woman being mistreated. Of course he quickly takes care of the situation, even if it means it puts him at risk of facing serious consequences.
He volunteers to handle the situation of her dirty DEA agent. Of course he also likes the perk of being able to keep his eyes on Evelyn in the process. Along the way he’s in the position to be her hero over and over until he realizes it’s best to keep her with him for her own protection.
As Evelyn faces the truth of who her fiancé really is, she’s also forced to face the growing feelings for her hero turned keeper. The chemistry between these two is undeniable. Massimo loves being her protector and wants to provide her with everything she could ever want or need. He’s determined to show her that she’s better off with him.
Be prepared for a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting more. I can’t wait for book two to come out.
