SERIES: Destiny of a Vampire Princess (in progress)
Truth vs Manipulation…
Olivia wakes up from a coma with no memory of how she ended up that way. She can remember parts of her past but is left with this feeling that something huge is missing from her memories and herself. One thing she does remember is her upcoming marriage to Rafael that has been arranged since she was young. It’s one of her only duties as princess to a vampire king.
She longs for freedom from her overbearing and abusive parents and hopes that a marriage to Rafael will provide at least some semblance of that. In the meantime she’s grateful to be granted the chance to attend the Academia of Supernatural Beings at least for a little while before the wedding.
But once she’s there she finds herself questioning pretty much everything. Things like what really happened to her before, why she her body feels very disconnected from her fiancé while her brain sometimes tells her he’s her world, and why she is inexplicably drawn to the dangerously handsome werewolf Killian. But also how she could have no memory of the potential war brewing and the rebellion set against her ruling family.
Olivia doesn’t know who or what to trust. And the more she learns, the more she questions. She has to make some huge decisions that could change the course of everything. Be ready for some twists and turns along with a cliffhanger that will leave you shocked and craving book two. This was a great start to a new series. I’m ready for the next one now.
Even better than book one…
I really loved book one in this new series, but book two was even better. I can’t wait for book three to come out because I want, no, I need more.
In book two of this series, we get more of the story between Liv and Killian. We get to find out what happened leading up to the events in book one. All that time missing from Liv’s memories after her accident. Things that we just got teases and questions for during book one during the mystery of what was real and was was manipulation. It’s the story of how Liv and Killian found love in the midst of a rebellion.
Then their journey picks up in the current timeline after the events of book one. They are having to deal with the aftermath of Liv’s escape from her parents and Rafeal all over again. They must fight to survive and hold onto the power and status that is rightfully theirs. And the fight is not over because Rafeal is making power moves of his own.
I’m hooked on the story of Liv and Killian and need more. This series is so good. It’s such an interesting world concept and I can’t get enough. These two are true soulmates meant for each other.
