What a way to start a series…

Talk about starting a series off strong. This book does exactly that. I was hooked from the very beginning. Kiara is back after running from a terrible situation. She’s stronger now but still has a lot to deal with when it comes to the people in her past. When she is forced to face Bishop again after years away and loving him from afar, things heat up. Bishop took the place of his father as Don of the Murdoch Mafia family and has a strong hold and influence on everyone around him. Their story is intense and builds quickly on the foundation they already had growing up together. Secrets revealed, action, danger, meant to be love. This book has it all covered.

King and Allison

When King finds out he has a daughter he never knew about, he’s determined to find her and bring her home. Allison’s sister left her with trouble and drama but also an adorable little girl that’s she determined to give everything to and protect with her life. Both King and Allison love little Amelia with all their hearts and work to find the balance of what’s right for her. As the love starts to build between Kind and Allison they are forced to face danger and deal with enemies. Allison is put in a terrible situation and has a lot to overcome. There’s a darkness in both of them that really speaks to each other and makes their relationship stronger. I loved this dark story through all the hurtles they had to face.

I really felt for Knight and Koby…

Knight had it rough because of the manipulation he faced from King’s ex when he was just a teen. It put him in a hard place between her and his own family. And it left behind it’s damage making him more closed off and untrusting. Koby was able to reach him when no one else really could. Secrets, darkness, danger, and love that is hard earned. These two have both been through so much but in the end really need each other. I love how strong all the women in this series are even after facing so much. Great read.

Here comes the Queen…

Unlike her brothers, Carlina was not named after chess pieces. Looked down on and treated terribly by her father, Carlina just wants out. She loves her family but she’s also tired of being hidden and wants a life of her own. And when Vincent, part of a rival mafia family, takes the contract on Carlina he never expects to fall for his mark. They become a force all their own. I love the growth Carlina has throughout this book. The two of them together is something on its own that should not be underestimated.

Gage & Anya…

I was so glad to see Gage get his own book. I loved that he’s finally getting more of the “real family” feelings directed his way. Bishop has given him a hard time because of his status as the half brother but more so because of Gage’s close friendship with Kiara. It was great to see Gage step up into a bigger role in the family while working undercover with the enemy. The relationship that develops between him and Anya was great. He’s always seemed like such a amazing guy throughout the series, so to see him finally find his love interest was so good. And Anya is the perfect addition to all the strong women in this family.

A lot to overcome…

Poor Rook! He went through so much. Probably more than anyone else in this series, and that’s saying a lot. He had so much to overcome after everything he was put through. Clare shows back up in his life after their own heartbreaking history. She was the only one to reach him through all the darkness surrounding him. It definitely wasn’t easy for either of them. The growth and character development throughout their journey was something special. And then there’s a little teaser cliffhanger and the end of this book that leaves you wanting more and more.

#7 – Bridge novella between this series & Memento Mori series

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

19 years later…

I love that this novella picks up 19 years after the last book of the original generation of the Murdoch Mafia family. We get to see glimpses into the lives of the original group and how their love is still going strong. But what makes this book so exciting is our first real look into the next generation. The OG group was a total force so it’s great to see such a strong start with their children older and ready to take on anyone that poses a threat. The guys in the original group find themselves in a dangerous situation unintentionally cause by their children. It will be interesting to see where the new spinoff series takes us. I’m so looking forward to it after the taste we get in this novella.

The next generation…

I loved the original family drama of the Murdoch Mafia so I was really looking forward to this new series where the next generation takes things front and center. And I have to say I was not disappointed. After reading Royal’s story I’m even more excited about where this series is going to go. Is it going to be even better than the original?… Maybe… They are vicious and I’m here for it.

All the feels…

I loved the whole Murdoch world going into this book. Fully invested in the family at this point. So when I say this book got me all up in my feels from start to finish, I really mean it. Sin is a total badass that should not be underestimated. It was great to also see her softer side in this book. Her heartbreak after the betrayal from the only man she ever opened up to just made my heart break right along with her. I don’t want to give anything away because you need to feel it all for yourself. But be prepared for action, romance, suspense, heartbreak, and a heaping serving of devastation mixed in with all that Murdoch love. I can’t wait to read the next one but I’m also not ready for the series to end with that book. I mean we have some more siblings in the line up so hopefully that means even more books to come.

Loved this!

After the mess book two left me in, I was really excited to jump right into this third and final book in this Murdoch Mafia spin off. And I was not disappointed. I love this entire world that Samantha has created. There’s so much depth and intensity to these characters.

I really felt for Chaos and what he was dealing with even while he was being a huge a**hole for a lot of his journey through this book. Understandable though. His connection with Cassandra was immediate whether he was willing to admit it or not. They both needed each other in different ways even though it definitely wasn’t what anyone would consider a traditional relationship.

I loved their journey and their growth. The healing amongst the family as a whole was everything too. Such a great series and a great book. I can’t wait to see where the next generational spin off will take us. I love the little glimpse of it that we get.

The crazy badass bitch you can’t help but love…

We first met London in the Memento Mori series when she was just a young little hellion driving her adoptive father crazy and figuring out her place in her new found family. Now she’s eighteen and wreaking havoc on the headmasters, and anyone else that gets in her way, at her exclusive boarding school.

One night and an accident with her car changes her path in ways she never could have expected. She finds herself forced to contend with the twisted traditions of the Greek mafia family and be put through their trials. The Godfathers of the Night has never been a place for women, much less one who isn’t even Greek. And the new headmaster is none other than one of the brothers of that family.

With no choice but to go through these trials and survive or risk war between her family and the Greek mafia, she does everything she can to find a way. Her journey is definitely not easy but she’s no pushover. And she finds herself drawn to Artemis even when everything and everyone says she shouldn’t be. She also discovers a new best friend in his twin brother.

London and Artemis’ story is epic. I loved these two together so much. Samantha has a way of getting you so caught up in the story and the feelings. She can fill your heart, break it, and help you figure out how to put the pieces back together. This was a fantastic dark romance. And it was so good to see all the Murdoch Mafia and Memento Mori family crossovers happening. I don’t want this interconnected world to ever end.

Cronos and Amelia

Cronos has separated from his family’s criminal lifestyle to find something of his own. He’s created a life so vastly different from anything he’s had before. Amelia has also been trying to separate herself from her family name for years. She has finally been released from family obligation to go after the freedom she’s always tried to hold on to. But their situations have worked out very differently.

It turns out that the guy Amelia got caught up with in college was not what he seemed. Now he’s back in her life and all she wants to do is get away from him. That drives her to search out Cronos. They had a connection that we saw hints at in the last book. She goes to him for safety, protection, and to hide, but can’t help but wonder what could be.

Even though there’s a ten year age difference between Amelia and Cronos, he’s been through enough in his life that it doesn’t matter. He’s wise beyond his years. And even though she hurt him when she pushed him away before, he can’t help how he feels for her.

More secrets are unraveled and danger is coming. Amelia and Cronos have to decide what they really want and what they’re willing to do to make it happen. And Amelia must face the truth of what really happened years ago that unknowingly started a chain of events. She must decide whether or not she can face the family that she desperately fought to be free of.

This book was so good. I was really looking forward to Cronos and Amelia’s story and Samantha did not disappoint. And I loved seeing all the different interconnected families in this world make a reappearance in one way or another. I’m definitely not ready to let this bookverse go yet so I hope we get more.

One event to set everything in motion…

For six years Lakeland has been feeling lost and it’s not just the missing memories to go along with her amnesia, it’s also a piece of herself, her soul. For those same six years Knox has been filled with his own loss. That of his twin sister and his belief in Lakeland that left him with feelings of anger and betrayal.

When Lakeland goes on the run, it’s Knox who finds her and takes her with plans to punish her for reasons she can’t remember. Both of them are forced to face what really happened all those years ago along with all the leftover feelings. And just because Knox hasn’t lost his memories like Lakeland has doesn’t mean he knows the full truth either.

These two are intense. Their story is not for the faint of heart. Their journey is not an easy one. So much anger, betrayal, secrets, and lies stand in their way. But through it all they can’t deny how much they’re drawn to each other no matter what.

Be prepared to check the triggers and stay on the edge of your seat. This book will leave you wanting more, especially with the hints at the end. And I love that this world is connected to the Murdoch Mafia and Memento Mori world because I love those too.

Oh the twisted goodness…

If you’re looking for a soft and sweet romance, this is most definitely not the story for you. But if you’re in the mood for one woman’s totally twisted journey to find her way out of the prison she’s been stuck in for so many years and find herself while taking out much needed revenge on all those who wronged her, then this is the story for you.

They may have known her as Waverly Bronson but now they will know her as Doxy Da Luca and she will put them in their place. Her family thought she was dead when really she was being put through so much torture and abuse by terrible men who wanted to use her for their own desires and gains. But when she finds an unexpected ally in Treyvante and a blast from the past with Xander she seizes the opportunity to take down the men who did her wrong and the family that left her behind.

This book left me with so many feelings. I absolutely loved the growth, development, and strength in Wave/Doxy. She went through so much and even though she lost parts of herself along the way she also found the strength and the determination to get through anything and everything.

This is a dark and very twisted read so please check the triggers. Some parts will be harder to handle that others. And Samantha even recognizes that with extra warnings in the book. But what a journey! And the chemistry, love, respect, and loyalty that develops between Doxy, Trey, and Xander is just everything. Such a great dark romance.

Surviving and strong…

Taylan is certainly not looking to find some dream woman to settle down with. So he had no problem betting his friend he could get with Destiny, the Murdoch Mafia princess. But he was not prepared for how she would effect him.

When men come after Destiny to get her mother’s secret narcotic formula, he’s ready to help protect her. He’s also there to help train her for her next big MMA fight. She’s not just in it for the love of the fight, she’s also fighting her way through her past trauma. And the past just won’t let her go, in more ways that one.

Destiny is not the only one dealing with past trauma. Taylan has a haunted past of his own that has been effecting him in ways he didn’t even realize. It’s not just their trauma that bonds them but their kink as well. And oh the chemistry!

Their journey is dark and emotional. They are both fighting to either run or heal from what’s holding them back. The world they live in is dangerous and hard. Through it all they help heal each other in different ways.

Definitely check the triggers and be ready to feel some emotions right along with them. I loved these two together so much. And if you love Samantha’s interconnected world between the Murdoch Mafia, Memento Mori, Godfathers of the Night, and of course this Re Della Strada, then you’re going to love all the family crossover in this one. I’m absolutely in love with this whole world she’s created and these families so it was great to revisit a bunch of the characters.
