The KORT #4

What a way to end a series…

Gage gets a blast from his past when he discovers the most recent woman rescued and protected in their shelter is none other than the woman who betrayed him in his past life. Before he was Gage, the KORT enforcer, he was Josh the mafia soldier. And Ainsley was the mafia princess he fell in love with. She’s also the reason he hasn’t been able to trust woman with very few exceptions.

Ainsley thought Gage had died while away in the military years ago. So imagine her shock when she see’s him again years later. Calling it a tense reunion would be a mild way of putting it. She’s been battling her own struggles all alone while trying to find a way out. She’s tired of being used and abused.

Both of them are harboring quite a bit of hard feelings, guilt, betrayal, injustice, and a begrudging love for each other even after all this time. They are all trying to get to the bottom of who is out to get her after what she did to get free. Gage and Ainsley have a long way to go to work through all their issues to get to the other side in whatever way that may be.

These two were intense and I loved every minute of it. I loved seeing how it all started with them, how things went so wrong, and how they faced their feelings to find the truth of what really happened. I’m not ready to let this series go because it’s just so good. But at the same time is wrapped up in such a great way with looks into where everyone ended up years down the road. I can’t wait to see where this world will go with the Noire brothers next. And I can totally see myself reading this series over again.

AUDIOBOOK UPDATE (re-read): Jacob and Samantha did such a great job bringing out the emotion and intensity of Gage and Ainsley. It just took the story to another level. And I’m a sucker for duet narration. So great!

Sinners Welcome #2

Quick, Super Spicy Novella…

If you’re looking for a quick and super spicy read to warm you up on a snowy night while exploring some specific… interests, this one might just be what you’re looking for.

We met Tess in the first book of this series. The plan here was for her to meet up with her bestie Peyton and her guys over break. But a winter storm means Tess is about to be snowed in with Van’s father and two brothers. Just imagine her shock when she realizes Van’s dad Clayton is the hot older guys she’s been having spicy video chats with for months. And the brothers Kaiden and Tyler are just as hot.

They soon come to the conclusion that being snowed in together in a remote mountain cabin is the perfect time to really get to know each other and explore some things they’ve wanted to try. Things heat up real quick like. But the emotional connection ramps up just as fast.

Be prepare for lots of dirty, spicy, taboo fun. Oh and no blood relations in the found family but check those triggers just in case you need to. And you might just add some spicy terms to your smutty dictionary. If you know, you know.

Kings of Reina University #2

Dark & Spicy Hockey Romance…

Isaac is known to everyone as the good guy. Since no one knows that’s not his real last name on his hockey jersey and he’s actually a mafia prince, it’s no real surprise to discover he has a dark side. That monster he keeps hidden and buried inside. But Tovah knows who he really is. She’s actually known him from when they were kids. He just doesn’t remember her. Now she’s ready to use her journalistic skills to dig up the dirt she needs to grant her freedom from her own form of hiding.

Isaac hates her and wants her at the same time. He will do anything to protect his secrets, his family, and his team. If that means kidnapping Tovah and keeping her at his mercy to prevent her from sharing what she knows, then he’s ready to do just that.

There’s a fine line between love and hate and these two really know how to walk that tightrope. Isaac is dark, intense, possessive, and obsessive. And Tovah is sweet and sassy with her own dark side that speaks to his. Their journey is not an easy one but it’s quite the ride. This is an epic childhood friends to enemies to lovers story. And it’s one I really enjoyed even when I had the urge to smack some sense into Isaac on Tovah’s behalf.

Be sure to check those triggers before diving into this one. Isaac is not your sweet and sappy hero… at least not most of the time.

Twisted Kings MC #3

Biker Single Dad & the New Hot Nanny…

The Twisted Kings MC has always been a huge part of Jesse’s life growing up as the President’s kid. But when a former fling surprises him by dropping off his daughter and then leaving, he has a new priority. The freaking adorable Bea is the light in his dark world. He’s fine with swearing off relationships and devoting his life to his little girl and his club.

Then enters Reagan. She ready to step in and help as her great aunt is battling cancer and can no longer help take care of Bea like she’s been doing. Jesse is determined to fight her every step of the way. He doesn’t want her help or the temptation of her presence. But Reagan is not one to back down. Their push and pull is everything.

These two have serious chemistry. And the longer Reagan sticks around, not put off by his MC world at all, the more their connection grows. Reagan is sweet, strong, and sassy. Jesse is stubborn, possessive, and intense. He will do whatever it takes to protect his girls no matter what danger comes for them. I absolutely love the little found family they make. And I’m so hooked on this Twisted Kings world overall. I need more!

Men of Club Triskelion #5

Love from the Bachelor Auction…

Conor is the major playboy of the Evans brothers but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to settle down like the others. When his brothers push him into participating in the club’s bachelor auction he’s not interested at all. That interest level changes fast when his winning bidder is Victoria, a sexy and confident Domme, with Elena, her adventurous and eager submissive.

They all go into it with the agreement that it’s a one night type of thing. But their chemistry and connection is so intense that none of them can stop thinking about it afterwards. The three decide to extend their arrangement under certain terms. They each bring something to the growing relationship that makes them a complete unit whether they are ready to admit or not. And when Conor’s dangerous mafia life throws a wrench in their bliss, everyone is forced to face their feelings and what they really want.

These three were perfect for each other. They just worked. They fit. I loved the relationship they had as a whole as well as the individual 1-on-1 relationships. Their story was so good. I love the fun, loud, crazy dynamic of the Evans brothers and their women.

Scorpion Kings #2

It’s just getting better and better…

Book two in the Scorpion Kings series picks up with Juliet on a war path. She’s convinced the guys not only let her down but are also the reason she has no place to live now. If there’s a way to drive a wedge between the guys to get to the truth, she’s ready to do it. But things aren’t always as they seem. It may not be the guys out to get her, but someone definitely is.

They are digging for the truth – about who is after Juliet and whether or not her family is actually innocent like he claims. Through it all the bond between these four grows stronger and more intense. They have to figure out who and what they can actually trust. The guys are ready to step up and be Juliet’s dark protectors. And she’s getting closer to actually letting them.

There are still secrets, dark truths, and danger all around. The chemistry is intense and steamy. I love this little found family they’re building together. Just be prepared for the cliffhanger at the end. I can’t hardly wait to see what happens in the next book.

REVIEW: The Viper’s Lady by Elle Parker – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Camelot Court #2

The Mystery and Plotting Continues…

In this second book of the Camelot Court series, Quinn refuses to give up on the Quest no matter what. She’s ready to make her appeal and secure her place all the way to the end. She’s feeling betrayed by her knight, Landon, and confused by Kingston’s mysterious mixed messages. Now she has to face the temptation that is Max Dread.

The Quest and the Camelot Court as a whole is surrounded by mysteries and secrets. Nothing is as it seems. And despite Quinn’s determination, there’s still someone out to get her and do whatever it takes to make sure she fails one way or anther. Throughout this next phase, not only Quinn but the guys too will have to figure out who and what they can trust.

I won’t give away the secrets that we discover in this book but I will say that there are some juicy ones tucked into these pages. There are plans and schemes going on behind the scenes. Secrets are coming out. Memories are starting to surface. Truths are being told and kept close. This book was so good. I don’t know how I’m going to handle the wait for the next one.

Forbidden Love #2

Fake Engagement, Enemies to Lovers…

This is the second book of the Forbidden Love series but can be read as a standalone. That’s how I dove into the series. But now after reading Dylan and Rhyland’s story I can’t wait go back and read her brother and best friend’s story that came before it.

Dylan and her adorable little girl take her brother up on the offer to house sit his apartment in New York so she can start fresh and get out of her mother’s house. From day one of the move things are going wrong and Rhyland, her brother’s best friend, is there to witness it. But he’s also there to help. When a potential new investor sees these two arguing he assumes they’re having a lover’s spat. Rhyland sees this as an opportunity to get on the investor’s traditional good side. And that’s how their fake engagement kicks off.

They negotiate the terms and set some boundaries. But these two have a history going back to her high school days when she had a crush and he shot her down. It’s not long before tension and passion runs high between them. And Rhyland even starts to bond with her daughter who has him wrapped around her little finger in no time.

Together they navigate impressing his potential investor while dealing with what is and isn’t fake in their relationship. And of course this is the perfect time for Dylan’s loser ex to make an appearance and cause problems.

I absolutely loved these two together and this world as a whole. I can’t wait to go back and read the book before it. And I can’t wait to see where this series goes next. So good!
