REVIEW – A Shade of Chrome and Malice by KL DeVore – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 🔥🔥🔥
Absolutely hooked on this world…
I just can’t sing enough praises for this book and this world overall. It is so fantastically good and I think everyone should be reading it.
Just like with the other two books in this world, this one took me on a roller coaster of emotions. It made me feel so much for these characters. And I’m intensely invested. This book had plenty of twists and turns, action and adventure, love and loyalty, with just the right amount of spice mixed in. And of course, it leaves you wanting so much more. Which means I’m not so patiently waiting for the next release. I already know that this is a series that I will be re-reading more than once.
REVIEW – Fundamentals of Being a Good Girl by Julie Murphy & Sierra Simone – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hot professor single dad and the nanny…
This was my first book from these authors and I loved it. I’m hooked and I’m ready for the next book in the series. This was so good!
Bram has that hot college professor vibe going on, while also being the single dad to adorable twins and a feisty teenager. He gets a big shock when the new nanny turns up and is none other than Maddie, the birthday girl from the bar that he had a wild night with. Oh and it turns out she’s a new lecturer at the university he works for.
These two are so cute with each other and they pulled me right into the story. When they couldn’t resist each other it was supposed to be something casual between them. But really, they were meant to be. They both have to come to terms with what they really want in life and what does and doesn’t work.
I can’t wait to read more about the other people in their fun friend group.
Oh and I absolutely adore the great footnotes sprinkled throughout the book.
REVIEW – Scoring the Pucking Goal by Tracy Lorraine – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 🔥🔥🔥
The Goalie & His Personal Chef…
These two were just so cute together. The more they hung out with each other, the more they both secretly started craving the other. Cole was all about protecting his privacy and keeping to himself when he wasn’t with the team, even with his fame of being an amazing goalie. And Freya was so much of an introvert, protecting herself from the past trauma of her last relationship. In the end, these two were just so perfect for each other and so good for each other that they just worked.
Cole had such cute moments when it came to how he treated Freya, and the things that he did for her. Just so sweet. I really love the whole dog lovers aspect that they brought to their story. And it was so adorable how big of a fan Freya’s dad was when it came to Cole.
This was a great addition to the series, and I’m excited for the next book.
REVIEW – Twelve Mile Limit by Brandy Hynes – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ / 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Funny, sassy, and little bit crazy…
I absolutely loved these two. They’re are quite the dynamic duo. Maddox and Tessa were most definitely made for each other. Theirs is a sort of love / hate scenario with no real hate involved underneath it all.
A couple years ago Tessa called on Maddox in her time of need, and it was the perfect call to make. The only problem was Maddox held it over her in a way to keep her close. Maddox is crazy and fun, loyal and protective. And Tessa is a sassy little badass. She doesn’t want to have to choose between her family and the Noires. Only the Noires have been a better family to her than her biological one ever was.
Maddox and Tess together are perfection. And with the Noires she finally gets the loving and loyal family she deserves. I love this series so much, and I can’t wait for the next book.
