Fake it til you make it real…
When Tatum’s father passes away and it’s time to read the will, she gets the shock of her life. She doesn’t care about whether or not she’s left any money or part of the family business, because her father always made her aware of her place at the bottom of the list. She just wants her Aunt’s cottage that was promised to her. But even from the grave her father is pulling the strings. He’s made it so the only way she gets anything is if she marries the equally handsome and infuriating Kingston Callahan, and stays married for a year. And if she doesn’t she’ll lose everything. There’s more to this family and business merger than meets the eye though.
Since Kingston is her brother’s best friend, she’s been around him for most of her life but they’ve always been at odds. In order to make this arrangement work, they both plan to essentially fake it in order to get through it. But really they each hold more feelings than just irritation, and have for a long time whether they were willing to admit it or not.
They have so many ups and downs as they try to remind themselves it’s just a business arrangement. The chemistry is there from the start with a great push and pull dynamic. The whirlwind relationship builds and evolves the longer they’re stuck with each other. I loved how they pushed each other to realize what’s most important and what they both really want. So good!
This is a great start to a new series. I love the side characters all around and can’t wait to see more of their stories.

I swear this series just keeps getting better…
Book two in the KORT series picks up just a little bit after where we left off in book one. Celeste has come to stay with Ivy and the guys for a bit. She’s stuck between finding her own path and the pressure to follow the path her family is pushing her down. Unfortunately that path is pushing her to find a nice, boring politician to settle down with. Meanwhile she’s finding it harder and harder to ignore her growing feelings for Liam.
Liam is so sure he knows exactly who Celeste is and what she wants out of life. The other guys in their tightknit, found family are finding ways to learn more about Celeste as a person and connecting with her in their own unique ways. This definitely goes a long way to get Liam to open his eyes and actually see her past the mask she puts on for everyone.
Along the way they try to unravel the mystery of who is after Celeste and her family and what’s so important that it puts her in constant danger. Liam is determined to get Celeste to break free and stand up for herself while she’s determined not to let her family down. Their journey is so intense, emotional, spicy, and just fantastic.
This book was so good! The nontraditional family they’re all building is so amazing. I’m sitting over here making a wish list of potential books in this world. I want all their stories including the Noires and anyone else we collect along the way. Such a great world to dive into. Just two books in and it’s definitely a series on my list to re-read later on down the road when I can binge them all when it’s complete. I can’t wait for Ty’s story next.

What a way to kick off a new series…
This was my first Anya J Cosgrove novel and after reading it, I know it won’t be my last. This book was so good. It’s a great way to kick off a brand new series.
Penelope (Nell) is forced to live in the land of Faerie when her father makes a secret deal with the Shadow King Damian. Her time is torn between two worlds in an effort to fulfill the details of their bet. Only she’s not allowed to know exactly what that entails. She must learn to use her magic while navigating a drastically different world than where she comes from.
So many secrets and mysteries surround every element of the shadow court and the fae world as a whole. She must work her way up through training, learning about facing nightmares, dreams, and fantasies. Nell is torn between the world of the shadow court and the world where her sister still remains.
She grows closer to the other mortals with magic training in the fae world. That’s especially true for the dark knight One and his brothers. But she still struggles with what exactly the king wants with her and when things will take a turn. The action, detail, and chemistry was perfect.
This book was amazing. I absolutely loved it. The world building was so good with lots of twists and turns and well thought out facets. So much that I did not even see coming. I’m so excited to see where this series goes with the next book. I can’t wait.

A second chance in the cards…
Both Sage and Lyla were brought up in the MC world but in two vastly different roles. Sage was the son the the VP, a future prospect and member, following in his father’s footsteps. Lyla was the President’s daughter, untouchable and off limits, who wanted out of that dangerous world. Sage became her protector as they grew up while they bought fought against their evolving feelings for each other.
Not long after they give into the chemistry between them, a tragic event pushes them apart. Years later they find themselves back in the same place fighting that same chemistry drawing them together. And once again Sage finds himself doing everything he can to protect her. Only this time around they can’t fight the growing feelings between them and won’t let anything stand in their way – not family drama or dangerous forces out to get them.
I absolutely loved these two together. They were definitely meant to be – destiny, written in the cards, inevitable. Both of them help each other heal and discover what means the most to them. They easily fit into the Twisted Roses found family.
I can’t wait to see what happens in the final book. The little tease at the end and building up to it has me wanting more.

A fantastic new author debut…
I discovered Blake with the release of her second duet and was hooked. Then her third duet pulled me in even more. Now that I’ve had a chance to go back and start this debut duet I know I would have been hooked right from the start.
Liv is a celebrity with a traumatic past looking for a fresh start in a new place. She’s starting over and on her own dealing with the emotional and physical scars while trying to find her way. Liv is balancing her college dance major while healing and finding new connections with the people around her.
Between her new protective neighbor and the close-knit found family of the local gym, she’s developing new bonds and friendships. And she’s also developing feelings for four guys while trying to figure out what possibilities that might hold. They all connect in their own special ways. Of course there’s some pushback on what could become a very nontraditional relationship. Along the way we get snippets of Liv’s past that paint a traumatic picture of the pain she’s trying desperately to heal from.
I absolutely loved this story. The developing connections both in the friendship and romantic departments are so good. And the dance aspects with all the description and emotion really makes you feel it and visualize it. The story is emotional, sweet, funny, romantic, tragic, and just… everything. I cannot wait to dive into book two, especially with how things end in this book. Gotta know what happens next!

I didn’t see that coming…
I’m not going to spoil what happens in this second book of the duet because you need to experience it for yourself. I kept looking and waiting for the inevitable confrontation but I was so not prepared. Blake likes to keep you on your toes for sure.
The relationships between Liv and her guys along with her friends grow and develop throughout the book. The chemistry between them and how they all connect in different ways is so good. More of Liv’s past and all she had been through gets revealed and really makes you feel for her. They all work so well together to heal and move forward.
This was a great conclusion to their story. And I really loved the fast forward at the end to their lives down the road.

Do you believe in fate?
When Lola finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time, she witnesses a murder and catches the eye of a dangerous cartel boss. She makes a deal with him to save her life but he doesn’t trust her and isn’t ready to be done with her so easily.
Santiago is dark, dangerous, and oh so intriguing. Both feel a pulled towards each other while trying to fight their attraction. Lola just wants to be left alone with her secrets where she can remain safe. Santiago can’t get her off is mind but has no place in his life for any distractions. When his young daughter finds an instant connection with Lola, he can only deny the truth for so long.
Lola is hiding and healing from a very traumatic past of abuse. She is just as reluctant to trust Santiago as he is to trust her. But the longer they are together the more their feelings and their connections to each other grows. They truly help each other heal, open up, and evolve. She begins to realize that there’s more to this cartel leader than meets the eye.
When something unexpected happens, Lola is forced to reveal the secrets she’s been hiding. But in this world of danger and crime there are no guarantees for anyone coming out unscathed.
This was my first RC Boldt book and I absolutely loved it. The story was so good. The chemistry between Lola and Santiago was fantastic. And Gordo! Loved him. And sweet little Alma, so adorable and feisty. This may have been my first from RC but it definitely won’t be my last.

The end of an era…
With this final installment in the Heirs of All Hallows series we’re picking up right where we left off after book seven. Both Abi and Elliot are dealing with the aftermath of Elliot’s savage betrayal, no matter his perceived good intentions. They are struggling to find what’s most important to them, what they’re willing to fight for, and what they’re willing to give up. Decisions are made and lines are drawn.
It was great to see all the twists and turns of their journey. And I loved the little fast forward look at down the road for everyone. This was a great way to close out the series even if it’s sad to see it come to an end. But definitely a series I would re-read down the road.

Wise beyond her years…
The fourth and final book in the Apex Tactical series picks up where we left off at the end of book three. When the truth comes out that Lara’s father is non other than the twisted mastermind behind everything gone wrong lately, some have their doubts as to where her loyalties lie. Even Crew and Wilder, who felt a connection with her from the moment of her arrival, start to question her motives. All Lara wants is to do right by her Lost Ones, the children she swears to protect with all she has, and to be free. Free of her psychopath of a father and free to figure out who she is and what she wants. She’s been neglected and underestimated her entire life but she will do whatever it takes to protect those she loves. Even if that means facing her father again.
What a way to end a series. This book and the series as a whole was so good. I can’t wait to see what Candice comes up with next.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely epic romantasy…
I refuse to spoil this epic story for you because it just has to be experienced. But I will say that I absolutely loved this second part of Ayna and Myron’s journey. Angelina seems to have a way with satisfying you while also leaving you desperate for more.
Ayna is once again a prisoner but of a different sort. With no magic and no assurance of allies around her, she is struggling with the grief over Myron’s sacrifice while trying to stay strong so it wasn’t done in vain. If only she knew that her beloved king was really alive and doing everything he could to find her no matter what it took.
So many secrets, betrayals, hidden agendas, twists and turns. Torture, romance, loyalty, action. It’s all there. Every day is a fight. Who can be trusted? What ulterior motives are involved? How can they find a way to escape and take down everyone against them?
Just epic. Epic! I can not wait for the next book. The sooner the better. Now would be preferable. So absolutely great!!!

Forced proximity mafia romance…
Book two picks up immediately where book one’s cliffhanger left us. Evelyn’s ex may not care enough to protect her when she’s threatened but he’s clearly not ready to let her go either. But with Massimo as her constant dark protector, he’s there to take on any challenge that threatens her.
Throughout the book their relationship builds and grows. Massimo is out to prove that he can provide for her every need while protecting and pleasing her. Evelyn continues to be pulled between her growing feelings for him and her distain for his violent criminal lifestyle. And her doubts might just put herself in more danger.
Their story isn’t over yet so get ready for a new intense cliffhanger to set you up for the third and final book.
